I’ve just spent more hours than I maybe should have going from place to place with my hard-copy and queuing up the audio book just to hear Rudnicki read this part, and this part, and, oh, can’t forget this part. It’s hard for me to believe, but the official release date for “Blood Enemies” is one week from today . . . Tuesday, April 4th. I have two events next week to tell you about: virtual (AMA on reddit, coming up Tuesday) and, er, actual? at the University of Washington Bookstore on Thursday, April 6th.
My AMA is scheduled for 5:00 local time on the 4th (8:00 EST), and I’ll be back with more details on how to find it. I’ve never been on reddit, so please come and keep me company; I’ll answer spoiler-free questions about “Blood Enemies” and any other questions you may have about the series over-all or previous novels. It’s gonna be a good time.

In honor of the release of the eARC I’ve updated the first chapter posted on the novel’s page here on this web site. It’s got some rough stuff (sorry) but there’s Robert come to see Andrej for the first time since they got to Gonebeyond, something about Stildyne that Robert didn’t know, and other goodies. I hope you enjoy it, because this is as peaceful and quiet as it gets for the rest of this novel.
I’ve updated this site to include my forthcoming new novel “Blood Enemies” as well as the new (print) omnibus editions of the novels “Under Jurisdiction.” You can find them under Novels -> Jurisdiction Series -> Omnibuses.

This is a pretty big deal for me. Not only is this a genuinely pivotal novel (from my point of view) in terms of the action of the novel and the lives of the characters, but it also represents an important anniversary for me: In April, 2017, it will be exactly twenty years since the publication of my debut novel, “An Exchange of Hostages.”
